My passion for data science was sparked while studying politics. While others got caught up in heated political debates, we turned to data to gain real insights and understand the root causes of problems in depth. Feeling deeply inspired by this work, I chose to pursue a data science master’s degree and establish a career in this field. During my master’s, I supported several research projects regarding data analysis and infrastructure. Now I am putting the expertise I have gained into practice with a great team at Scieneers.

Even before my bachelor’s degree, a book about big data sparked my interest in data and the countless possibilities it offers. While I was able to build up a broad knowledge base in my Business Informatics Bachelor’s degree, my Data Science Master’s degree enabled me to accumulate data-specific knowledge. I was able to deal with all kinds of topics, from simple classifications and forecasts to the development of chatbots or knowledge graph completion using knowledge graph embeddings.
Apart from that, I am interested in synthesizers and electronic music, do sports and enjoy spending time in nature.

I developed my passion for data analysis during my studies in physics, driven by the curiosity for elementary particle physics. I’m passionate about modern technologies, which I leverage to gain new and robust knowledge based on large data sets.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, cycling, bouldering and playing the electric bass.
Working Student,
Karlsruhe
At the beginning of my studies, I worked as a working student in different company’s Business Intelligence department and learned the basics of Power BI. Then, like my bachelor’s degree, I wanted to bridge the gap between management and technology and am now in marketing.
In our team at scieneers, I take on the role of idea generation and content creation to produce results that create value and attract further value.
In my spare time I enjoy chatting with friends in a café and occasionally travelling abroad and in the EU. Otherwise, you can find me cooking old and new recipes.

In recent years, the field of Artificial Intelligence has rapidly evolved, increasingly approaching what was once considered pure science fiction. I am excited to be actively involved in this environment as a scieneer, facing new challenges daily and contributing to the further development of the field. I am fascinated by the opportunity to develop value-creating, data-driven solutions for customers from these technological advancements. Additionally, I have a particular interest in the topics of explainability and security, such as how models can be designed to prevent societal harm. My studies in business informatics provide me with an interdisciplinary perspective, which is ideal for understanding and influencing the technical and economic implementation of these innovations. When I am not wrapped up in data analysis or working on developing a new AI model, I use my free time for sports like basketball, volleyball, and tennis, or for mountain tours in the Alps.
Data Scientist,
Karlsruhe
I already decided in favour of Data Science when choosing my Bachelor’s degree. I appreciate the interplay of computer science, maths and domain knowledge as well as the wide range of possible applications. As a data scientist, I want to work with data in order to gain new insights, in particular when adding value for society.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing the piano.
Power BI Developer,

During my business informatics studies, topics related to business intelligence aroused great interest in me. Latest after my internship semester in BI consulting, the path was clear when I first came into contact with the Microsoft BI stack in 2018. The ability to model and profitably visualize data to answer business relevant questions excited me in particular.
In my time off, I enjoy doing sports and can be found at various soccer fields in the region.

Transformer, Prophet or Feather: The options for handling data are as diverse as the names of the technologies involved. As an industrial engineer, I learned to look at use cases from various perspectives and to mediate between them. Behind data projects there are usually employees from different departments. Sensitivity is needed here to understand and implement the respective requirements. For me, data science and data engineering go hand in hand to obtain the necessary overview.
My wide range of interests also applies to sports: Whether climbing, squash, beach volleyball or spikeball – I enjoy exercise. At the end of the day, it can also be a cozy board game evening.

After studying sinology and economics, I came to data analysis through my work in the media sector. For me, data must be able to answer questions and ideally tell a story. And stories only work if they have a structure and make sense – otherwise nobody understands what it’s about. It is important to me to understand the needs of my customers right from the start and not to see data processing as an end in itself.
In my private life, I am enthusiastic about various sports, learning foreign languages and guitar-heavy concerts and festivals

During my Master’s degree in Computer Science I became aware of the field of data science rather accidentally. Since then, this topic does not let me go. I am fascinated by the immense potential of Data Science applications in diverse areas. Thereby, I am particularly interested in the areas that contribute to a sustainable future.
When I am not working on technical topics, you can find me a lot in nature or on the sofa with a book.
BI Consultant,
Hamburg
My enthusiasm for data analysis arose from empirical work during my studies in social sciences and economics. I was fascinated by obtaining well-founded information through models and being able to make fact-based statements. In projects, I directly enjoyed working with Microsoft Power BI as a tool for displaying developments and key figures. I appreciate the ability to integrate different data sources and visually map information to gain insight into the data and provide a basis for decision making.
I like to spend my free time walking or running in nature. And on a rainy afternoon I also like to go to a museum to immerse myself in other worlds.
Data Scieneer,
Karlsruhe
I am excited by the enormous potential in all types of data and working on making it useful. In doing so, I find it particularly interesting to face diverse and individual challenges across all areas in order to gain new insights that provide more transparency or a basis for the right, data-based decisions.
I also appreciate the benefits of data and AI in my free time. Thus, some game analysis already helped me in preparing for the next basketball opponent to get a head start even before the jump ball. And when I’m not running after the basketball, I prefer to be out in nature, biking or hiking.

After studying mechanical engineering and earning my PhD in the field of energy system optimization, I worked as a management consultant in the energy sector. Already in this role, I approached challenges in my projects analytically and data-driven whenever possible, without losing sight of the human component. Data Science has always fascinated me and as a Data Scientist I can now go even deeper into concrete problem solving, actively shaping the solution. I find new technologies, e.g., from the field of Machine Learning, particularly exciting; however, in my view, creating value for the customer should always come first when constructing the best overall solution.
Away from work, I love to spend time with my family and do a lot of sports – preferably running and field hockey.

“Computers, technologies and software shape some of my earliest childhood memories. Since studying computer science, what delights me the most is working out essential problems and creative solutions to add value to others with our tools of the trade. As an advocate of the agile mindset, I strive according to the motto “Maximizing the work not done”; life is too short not to search for an optimal path and to evolve constantly while enjoying our time together. If you don’t find me in front of a monitor, the inspiration to fly has hopefully taken me out into nature.”
Data Scientist,

“All models are wrong, but some are useful.” – I believe that this phrase by George Box describes Data Science in a nutshell. I enjoy translating real problems to data-driven models, and to improve these models until they are useful. A particularly interesting aspect for me is how the deployment context of a model influences its architecture and training, say, if the model must be robust, or explainable, or if it must work with limited or noisy data. At the end of the day, you will find me running and catching discs on an Ultimate Frisbee field, or sipping coffee in the sun.
